An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Conrado Sotero got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 40 minutes, Eleuterio Bieito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diamante's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eleuterio Bieito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Sustrai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Pagomari in the 43rd minute of play. After 46 played minutes CRyDE got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Sotero. If Conrado Sotero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eleuterio Bieito was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Jonatan Platon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eleuterio Bieito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodrigo Semeno having to make a save. With an all-out effort, Diamante's Rodrigo Semeno threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eleuterio Bieito, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Conrado Sotero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diamante's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Conrado Sotero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute Conrado Sotero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Sustrai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Cornelio Hondo managed to get in a good position for a shot.
