In the 15th minute, Filiberto Chago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Erasmo Tirso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Olpas's Emiliano Abar got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 49th minute, Emiliano Abar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Buinton, 50 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Honorio Turi to make the kick off. Olpas's Reynaldo Tipi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Turi in the 59th minute of play. Conrado Johans was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Filiberto Chago capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Filiberto Chago really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Conrado Johans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filiberto Chago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Olpas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Elena AFC throughout the match.
