Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) If Teobaldo Javiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 5th minute, Jaime Pietro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Modesto Arotza in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sixto Txaran saved Retiro from getting behind. After 14th play minutes Gerardo Beliran shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Hilario Edorta and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, Retiro's Genaro Abeitia got a free kick in the 16th minute. Delmar Matei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Txaran having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Modesto Arotza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hilario Edorta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teobaldo Javiar in the 33rd minute. After 43 minutes of play, Unión de Santa Fe's Delmar Matei made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sixto Txaran was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Retiro's Gerardo Beliran slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hilario Edorta. That made the score 2-2 after 50 minutes of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerardo Beliran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 68 minutes, Teobaldo Javiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Retiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teobaldo Javiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Teobaldo Javiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Retiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Teobaldo Javiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilario Edorta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Omar Artizar's late challenge caught a Retiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Omar Artizar helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Unión de Santa Fe getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Omar Artizar hit a great ball. Gerardo Beliran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Hilario Edorta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teobaldo Javiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Edorta having to interfere. Teobaldo Javiar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hilario Edorta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. Teobaldo Javiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 102nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
