But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Mel couldn't finish the play. David Mel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romeo Jordy having to make a save. After 46 minutes, Javier Jago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salada FC and the Mariño AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Salada FC's Javier Jago got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 50th minute of the match Mariño AFC got a corner. Salada FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adrian Uxio ran over to the corner to take the kick. After the first half Mariño AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arturo Mel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Arturo Mel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariño AFC's Arturo Mel got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Esteban Silviano took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romeo Jordy. Romeo Jordy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Arturo Mel did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Romeo Jordy 68 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Salada FC's zone, David Mel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Jordy came out of the goal and David Mel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Arturo Mel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arturo Mel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Jordy having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Salada FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mariño AFC:s goal. The referee gave Mariño AFC a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Adrian Uxio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Salada FC's Romeo Jordy. 0-6. If Arturo Mel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Jordy was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Arturo Mel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arturo Mel really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. 101 minutes had been played when some careless play by Salada FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adrian Uxio was slow to take the kick. During this time Mariño AFC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Arturo Mel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Salada FC's Romeo Jordy did a great save. Mariño AFC played a much better game than Salada FC and deserved their victory. The Salada FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
