The Amancio Telesforo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 8 minutes into the match, Mariño AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Remicio came free, but Amancio Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Maties fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Telesforo having to interfere. Amancio Telesforo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Remicio went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 24 minutes into the match, Arteaga AFC's goalkeeper Abelardo Domiku had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Mel. After a defensive mix-up in Mariño AFC's zone, Edgard Maties stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amancio Telesforo came out of the goal and Edgard Maties tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abelardo Domiku made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Mel in the 40th minute of play. David Mel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Abelardo Domiku tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arteaga AFC's Abelardo Domiku proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Arteaga AFC from getting a goal against them. David Mel struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Abelardo Domiku didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mariño AFC.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arturo Mel to make the kick off. If Tomas Remicio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Mariño AFC's Amancio Telesforo got control of the ball when Edgard Maties tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Arteaga AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
