With an all-out effort, Toledo's Geronimo Raymundo threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gaston Jordy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ezequiel Matia took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Saturnin. HYDROGENA's Geronimo Raymundo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save HYDROGENA from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, HYDROGENA's Vladimiro Inocente got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Ezequiel Matia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geronimo Raymundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Fertus in the 54th minute of the match. HYDROGENA's Geronimo Raymundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Iratzeder in the 66th minute of play. Ambrosio Palben's late challenge caught a Toledo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ambrosio Palben helped the player get up and apologised.
