Geronimo Raymundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Hustaz in the 27th minute of play. Fabian Paz's late challenge caught a Maravilla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Paz helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the HYDROGENA defense, Silvano Restu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geronimo Raymundo. The HYDROGENA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geronimo Raymundo should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Maravilla's zone, Feliberto Fagondo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ceferino Perez came out of the goal and Feliberto Fagondo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the match, HYDROGENA's goal looked a bit too open when Anastasio Bibiano came free, but Geronimo Raymundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute Camilo Hustaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geronimo Raymundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maravilla were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after HYDROGENA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Natalio Montae took the corner. 49 minutes into the game, Feliberto Fagondo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HYDROGENA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maravilla the free kick. After a rather tough play, HYDROGENA's Feliberto Fagondo got a free kick in the 49th minute. Geronimo Raymundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Montae in the 50th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Camilo Hustaz made a kick off. Vladimiro Inocente kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, Camilo Hustaz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Geronimo Raymundo. Camilo Hustaz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Silvano Restu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maravilla's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvano Restu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geronimo Raymundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Hustaz in the 66th minute of play forced HYDROGENA's goalkeeper Geronimo Raymundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. HYDROGENA's Geronimo Raymundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Corderun in the 68th minute of play. Silvano Restu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Geronimo Raymundo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 71 played minutes HYDROGENA got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Inocente. 75 minutes into the match, HYDROGENA's goalkeeper Geronimo Raymundo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvano Restu. Vladimiro Inocente hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Emiliano Benat charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emiliano Benat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th match minute, HYDROGENA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Benat to maneuver through the defense. Feliberto Fagondo might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ceferino Perez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Feliberto Fagondo ran back to his position shaking his head. Maravilla's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
