Andres Laurgain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bartolo Goiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Bartolo Goiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Efren, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Leonides Romildo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andres Laurgain in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bartolo Goiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, Baldomero Rio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andres Laurgain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Bartolo Goiz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 62 played minutes, Embarcación's Donato Eduino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bartolo Goiz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Embarcación reached it. Andres Laurgain received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bartolo Goiz came out and tried to block the shot, but Andres Laurgain slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 64th minute. When Eusebio Efren came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Embarcación fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Efren couldn't finish the play. Andres Laurgain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
