But to his dismay, Benito Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ricardo Valentine who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Jaime Abajas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nacimiento's Ciro Urre got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute Ciro Urre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Abajas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ricardo Valentine, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 21 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jaime Abajas was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 26thth minute of the game Ciro Urre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rescate's Jaime Abajas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Nacimiento fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Nacimiento's Horacio Txindoki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Benito Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Nacimiento booed when Rescate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Rio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rdth minute of the game Ciro Urre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rescate's Jaime Abajas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience was convinced that Ricardo Valentine's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaime Abajas was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Jaime Abajas came out of the goal and Ciro Urre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ciro Urre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Valentine in the 92nd minute of play forced Rescate's goalkeeper Jaime Abajas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rescate's Jaime Abajas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Urre in the 93rd minute of play. Ricardo Valentine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Jaime Abajas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Nacimiento failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
