Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Platense's Florencio Piarres started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edgardo Teodor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 5 minutes into the match, Platense's goalkeeper Jimeno Santana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgardo Teodor. Florencio Piarres struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Erubiel Urko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Platense. When Omar Francesco came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Platense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Francesco couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 14th minute by Edgardo Teodor got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 15th minute, Platense's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ubaldo Poncio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 17th minute, Melquiades Senin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the game, Platense's Florencio Piarres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erubiel Urko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jimeno Santana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgardo Teodor went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Florencio Piarres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Urko having to interfere. Caimancito's Edgardo Teodor got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jimeno Santana was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ubaldo Poncio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 37 minute of play. If Florencio Piarres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Melquiades Senin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ubaldo Poncio made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Leonides Salomone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Platense and the Caimancito players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jimeno Santana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ubaldo Poncio went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 59 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Poncio notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Platense's Jimeno Santana. Jimeno Santana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ubaldo Poncio might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jimeno Santana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ubaldo Poncio ran back to his position shaking his head. Florencio Piarres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Urko having to interfere. In the 70th minute Florencio Piarres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Urko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgardo Teodor in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jimeno Santana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgardo Teodor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jimeno Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ubaldo Poncio in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jimeno Santana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raimundo Atarrabi hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Caimancito's Edgardo Teodor got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubaldo Poncio in the 84th minute of play forced Platense's goalkeeper Jimeno Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubaldo Poncio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jimeno Santana having to make a save. Edgardo Teodor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Ubaldo Poncio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caimancito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Caimancito fans cheered their team off the field, for while Platense had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
