If Teodoro Quirce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th match minute, Puelches was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Rameriz to maneuver through the defense. Cristo Hermelando might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santo Arano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristo Hermelando ran back to his position shaking his head. Astor Ioritz charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Astor Ioritz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Puelches booed when Encina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Astor Ioritz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Puelches's Godofredo Librado tried to score from far away in the 15th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Encina FC's Santo Arano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Lander in the 17th minute of play. Cristo Hermelando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santo Arano was a little too slow when Vinicio Lander got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vinicio Lander in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santo Arano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vinicio Lander struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Santo Arano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puelches. Teodoro Quirce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santo Arano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Lander, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The supporters of Encina FC booed when Puelches was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Enaut didn't get a good kick on the ball. Puelches's Clodoveo Bela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Quirce in the 43rd minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
