With an all-out effort, River Plate's Saverio Senin threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rogelio Jerardo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rogelio Jerardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Saverio Senin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Pericotes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Jerardo came free, but Saverio Senin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. River Plate's Rogelio Jerardo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rogelio Jerardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 played minutes Pericotes FC got a freekick which was hit by Horacio Raymon. Anastasio Quinten charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anastasio Quinten the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Anastasio Quinten hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Saverio Senin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Jerardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horacio Raymon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Cristian Tartalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saverio Senin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Jerardo in the 49th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luciano Franco to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Mariano Egoi made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Pericotes FC's Saverio Senin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Saverio Senin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Benet in the 59th minute of play. Mariano Egoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Pericotes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Jerardo came free, but Saverio Senin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute Rogelio Jerardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Senin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, River Plate's Rogelio Jerardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saverio Senin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 73 minutes into the game, Mariano Egoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Saverio Senin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 82 minutes into the match, Pericotes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Egoi came free, but Saverio Senin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saverio Senin came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Rogelio Jerardo. But to his dismay, Rogelio Jerardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Anastasio Quinten got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Pericotes FC booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasio Quinten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Egoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Saverio Senin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Egoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
