In the 18th minute Nunez Shepherd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Mosen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venancio Mosen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Shepherd in the 19th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Amanao AFC's goalkeeper Apolo Havier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florentino Enol. After 27 played minutes, Amanao AFC's Jesus Gelacio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Venancio Mosen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Amanao AFC reached it. Venancio Mosen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislao Frasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sixto Cayo kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Sixto Cayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RED BULL FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amanao AFC the free kick. Sixto Cayo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Nunez Shepherd might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Venancio Mosen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nunez Shepherd ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Nunez Shepherd got free with Venancio Mosen in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Amanao AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
