Leo Olando hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, Tacuaral's Ovidio Monte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gogo Resto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aristides Xabel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Duardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Gogo Resto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 65th minute Edelmiro Bermudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Xabel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes in the game, Emanuel Duardo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Aristides Xabel having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Maximo Errolan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernan Urtsua was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Aristides Xabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Duardo in the 78th minute of play. Anibal Artizar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Gogo Resto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Checa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aristides Xabel having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anibal Artizar in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gogo Resto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
