If Erubiel Jerico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 18 in the game by Erubiel Jerico from a close distance when the talented Severino Malvin managed to make a qualified save. Bandera's players were relieved. Severino Malvin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ildefonso Oliviero in the 26th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Bandera's Rosendo Gaizko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomas Bembe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Rosendo Gaizko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandera's supporters rose to their feet, but Rosendo Gaizko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Bembe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute, Lázaro Iztal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino Malvin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Oliviero, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Tomas Bembe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victorio Argenis went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ildefonso Oliviero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Bandera were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 65th minute Claudio Mikelar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Malvin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Bandera defense, Ildefonso Oliviero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severino Malvin. The Bandera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severino Malvin should have stopped the shot. Erubiel Jerico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the game, Euzkadi F.C.'s Ildefonso Oliviero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
