Jonathan Ursino's late challenge caught a Motoque's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Alvaro Sedeni came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Motoque fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Sedeni couldn't finish the play. Sañicó FC's Clemente Mancio was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 11th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ernesto Diegotxe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Sedeni in the 20th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sañicó FC's Ceferino Oskarbi got a free kick in the 20th minute. If Paulo Orlondon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Orlondon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Diegotxe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Paulo Orlondon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Diegotxe having to interfere. Paulo Orlondon struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Ernesto Diegotxe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Motoque. In the 37th minute Clemente Mancio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Urti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Paulo Orlondon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sañicó FC's Jonathan Ursino got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Motoque's Alvaro Sedeni managed to work through Sañicó FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Alvaro Sedeni dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ernesto Diegotxe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Orlondon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 53 minutes, Ceferino Oskarbi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sañicó FC and the Motoque players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sañicó FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Ceferino Oskarbi hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Alvaro Sedeni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Motoque's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvaro Sedeni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Urti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedicto Tiso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvaro Sedeni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Diegotxe having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Sañicó FC's Benedicto Tiso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oscar Urti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Motoque's goalkeeper Oscar Urti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sañicó FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Motoque had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
