After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Palermo! Palermo:s Roman Patrido showed great skill when he stopped Vladimiro Abeita:s penalty. Sergio Arlo kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Constantino Leguizamón hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Fulgencio Maule got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacobo Balerens short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Roman Patrido to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Olimpo De Bahia Blanca's Bernabe Medero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Maule in the 23rd minute of play. Bernabe Medero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ildefonso Raymond in the 26th minute of the match. When Ildefonso Raymond came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Palermo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ildefonso Raymond couldn't finish the play. If Pedro Musko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Musko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Gerardo Fernendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

In the 53rd minute Jacobo Baleren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Patrido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 60 minutes, Fulgencio Maule managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulgencio Maule was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Musko came free, but Roman Patrido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Olimpo De Bahia Blanca's Evaristo Gorka got a free kick in the 64th minute. When Fulgencio Maule, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 65 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Bernabe Medero was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ildefonso Raymond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Medero having to interfere. Olimpo De Bahia Blanca's Jacobo Baleren got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Palermo's Fulgencio Maule ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bernabe Medero. Bernabe Medero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Ildefonso Raymond was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Bernabe Medero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Maule, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Luciano Chan hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
