Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reynaldo Tello started the match with the kick off. When Hidalgo FC's Raimundo Atauri, in the 3rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Hidalgo FC. Martin Gartzen took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ignacio Gorri. Ignacio Gorri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With his leg Ignacio Gorri managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Hidalgo FC's Raimundo Atauri fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Reynaldo Tello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of C.A.Independiente booed when Hidalgo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Donio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Godofredo Peio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Modesto Quilino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reynaldo Tello in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Modesto Quilino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 29 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Gartzen came free, but Ignacio Gorri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute of the match, Martin Gartzen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ignacio Gorri saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ignacio Gorri was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Martin Gartzen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Martin Gartzen really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The Hidalgo FC fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Hidalgo FC's Raimundo Atauri looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Gartzen made a kick off. If Martin Gartzen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacio Gorri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Atauri, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.Independiente's zone, Raimundo Atauri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacio Gorri came out of the goal and Raimundo Atauri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonas Urbasa kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Ignacio Gorri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raimundo Atauri went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Godofredo Peio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Modesto Quilino made a huge save. 78 minutes into the match, Godofredo Peio notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Hidalgo FC's Modesto Quilino. Modesto Quilino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vinicio Gar's late challenge caught a C.A.Independiente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vinicio Gar helped the player get up and apologised. When Martin Gartzen came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Hidalgo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Gartzen couldn't finish the play. C.A.Independiente's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
