An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Rivas in the 8th minute of play forced Higuera's goalkeeper Teodosio Indalecio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ulises Damario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Abelardo Elia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulises Damario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Jatsu having to interfere. Vinicio Raymon kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Higuera's Abelardo Elia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nicanor Jatsu. Nicanor Jatsu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Ulises Damario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Higuera booed when PALIVAL FUTBOL CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adan Patrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Primitivo Toro notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Higuera's Teodosio Indalecio. Teodosio Indalecio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 41 minutes into the match, Primitivo Toro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodosio Indalecio. Higuera's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Primitivo Toro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Ulises Damario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Nicanor Jatsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half PALIVAL FUTBOL CLUB were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Primitivo Toro to strike the kick off in the second half. Abelardo Elia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute Abelardo Elia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Jatsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, PALIVAL FUTBOL CLUB's Faustino Fidencio got a free kick in the 60th minute. Bernabe Reyes struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Nicanor Jatsu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Higuera. PALIVAL FUTBOL CLUB's Nicanor Jatsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Damario in the 66th minute of play. After 67 played minutes PALIVAL FUTBOL CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Fidencio. After a defensive mix-up in PALIVAL FUTBOL CLUB's zone, Ulises Damario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicanor Jatsu came out of the goal and Ulises Damario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 71 played minutes PALIVAL FUTBOL CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Fidencio. 74 minutes into the game, Jacinto Cutberto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PALIVAL FUTBOL CLUB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Higuera the free kick. Jonas Weather hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes, PALIVAL FUTBOL CLUB's Vinicio Raymon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Teodosio Indalecio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PALIVAL FUTBOL CLUB reached it. PALIVAL FUTBOL CLUB's Nicanor Jatsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Damario in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 86 minutes, Abelardo Elia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Higuera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Elia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonel Ciceron hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The PALIVAL FUTBOL CLUB supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing PALIVAL FUTBOL CLUB would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
