In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Virginia FC's goalkeeper Bonifacio Menendo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Amancio Eusko sped through Virginia FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bonifacio Menendo. Eusebio Flor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Breogan in the 43rd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Celso Breogan made the kick off in the second half. After 91 played minutes Virginia FC got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Pueblo. Omar Eleders short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Bonifacio Menendo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
