The supporters of Villanueva booed when Pichanal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Hegoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Daniel Fertus came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Pichanal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Fertus couldn't finish the play. Domingo Isadore made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Daniel Fertus sent off a good shot on target. Pascual Oxarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Cordarryl having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Villanueva got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Kelemen. Villanueva's Domingo Isadore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Piearres in the 36th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Daniel Fertus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pichanal's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Fertus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pichanal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Fertus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Villanueva's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Fertus came free, but Domingo Isadore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 minutes of play, Pichanal's Daniel Fertus made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Domingo Isadore was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Villanueva's zone, Daniel Fertus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingo Isadore came out of the goal and Daniel Fertus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Fertus in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domingo Isadore prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Villanueva's Domingo Isadore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Fertus in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Fertus in the 91st minute of play forced Villanueva's goalkeeper Domingo Isadore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pichanal's Daniel Fertus got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Pichanal were the better team. Pichanal's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
