Cerrito's Cesar Checa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Dei in the 8th minute of play. Esteve Bieito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16thth minute of the game Hermengildo Guerrero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fragueiro AFC's Laureano Rencio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Jeremias Dei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cesar Checa was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 21st minute Leo Iraunkor suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcial Tanio during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Cerrito's zone, Esteve Bieito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesar Checa came out of the goal and Esteve Bieito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Gorri during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Astor Sandaili recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeremias Dei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Cesar Checa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Astor Sandaili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesar Checa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Gorri in the 40th minute. Urbano Elorri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Laureano Rencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Astor Sandaili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Fragueiro AFC's Felix Gorri got his second yellow card of the match in the 54th minute. The referee ordered Felix Gorri off the ground. The supporters of Cerrito booed when Fragueiro AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Gorri didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Fragueiro AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Guerrero came free, but Laureano Rencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Eate hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Fragueiro AFC's Laureano Rencio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Fragueiro AFC from getting a goal against them. Laureano Rencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Bazil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fragueiro AFC's goalkeeper Laureano Rencio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Astor Sandaili struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Laureano Rencio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerrito. 91 minutes into the game, Fragueiro AFC's Juan Ospin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
