The supporters of Cipolleti booed when Zavalía FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Playo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pablo Oinatz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiberto Jaunzuria, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Filiberto Jaunzuria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Pablo Oinatz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filiberto Jaunzuria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pablo Oinatz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Pastor Astrada scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pablo Oinatz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Astrada in the 19th minute of play forced Zavalía FC's goalkeeper Pablo Oinatz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salvador Gerazan struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Justo Frasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zavalía FC. Fernan Maura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filiberto Jaunzuria scored 0-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pablo Oinatz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pastor Astrada stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cipolleti played a much better game than Zavalía FC and deserved their victory. The Zavalía FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
