Nestor Harriet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Everardo Chap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Harriet in the 11th minute of play. Everardo Chap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Harriet in the 12th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Elias Gasteiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Everardo Chap was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomas Sedeni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Igon, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Nestor Harriet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Erubiel Llope fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boca Juniors's protests and gave Erubiel Llope a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Erubiel Llope got a free kick in the 30th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Pocitos's Baldomiro Abaunza tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Pocitos's zone, Severo Sandaili stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomas Sedeni came out of the goal and Severo Sandaili tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Sedeni was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Aquilino Igon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aquilino Igon really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Elias Gasteiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pocitos's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Gasteiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Chap breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute, Severo Sandaili got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Tomas Sedeni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquilino Igon in the 54th minute of the match. Severo Sandaili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Sedeni having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Pocitos's Nestor Harriet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Everardo Chap made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Pocitos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Artal didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Elias Gasteiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nestor Harriet struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Everardo Chap didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pocitos. When Severo Sandaili came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severo Sandaili couldn't finish the play. Cipriano Artal hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, Elias Gasteiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Martxel to maneuver through the defense. After 88 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Gaitano. Baldomiro Abaunza, 89 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Severo Sandaili received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Tomas Sedeni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Sandaili in the 98th minute of play forced Pocitos's goalkeeper Tomas Sedeni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pocitos played a much better game than Boca Juniors and deserved their victory. The Boca Juniors players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
