Isidoro Farias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 5th minute Isidoro Farias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Henric saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Caranchos's Fidel Urti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luciano Niguel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Jesus Elorri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Albano Henric tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Calaza getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Hermengildo Santio hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Farias in the 20th minute of play forced Caranchos's goalkeeper Albano Henric to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermengildo Santio charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermengildo Santio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Calaza getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Hermengildo Santio hit a great ball. Guillermo Bibiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Guillermo Bibiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hermengildo Santio was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 34 minutes had been played. In the 34th match minute, Calaza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermengildo Santio to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th match minute, Caranchos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florencio Francis to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 38 minutes, Guillermo Bibiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caranchos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillermo Bibiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Calaza's zone, Fidel Urti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Niguel came out of the goal and Fidel Urti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Fidel Urti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Fidel Urti made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Caranchos's goalkeeper Albano Henric had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jesus Elorri. If Jesus Elorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caranchos's Guillermo Bibiano got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Calaza's Rodolfo Theodore got a free kick in the 67th minute. Jesus Elorri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Albano Henric made a huge save. 73 minutes into the match, Caranchos's Guillermo Bibiano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luciano Niguel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luciano Niguel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Bibiano in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Isidoro Farias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guillermo Bibiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Niguel having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Fidel Urti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caranchos's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidel Urti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luciano Niguel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guillermo Bibiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Niguel having to interfere. There was no doubt that Caranchos were the better team. Caranchos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
