Ramon Tristan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Senon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Segundo Fertus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulino Egun in the 18th minute of the match. Paulino Egun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Andres Gartzea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ramon Tristan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alonzo Senon's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. The supporters of Loncopué booed when Tareirí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Shepherd didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alonzo Senon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Alonzo Senon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loncopué's supporters rose to their feet, but Alonzo Senon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramon Tristan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramon Tristan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Andres Gartzea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 48 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When Teodoro Frasco came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Loncopué fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Frasco couldn't finish the play. Alonzo Senon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ramon Tristan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everardo Ortzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andres Gartzea in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramon Tristan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 66 minutes into the match, Andres Gartzea notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Tareirí's Ramon Tristan. Ramon Tristan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Everardo Ortzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Segundo Fertus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulino Egun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Fertus having to interfere. Andres Gartzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Tristan having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Andres Gartzea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramon Tristan was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Everardo Ortzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tareirí's Ramon Tristan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Senon in the 95th minute of play. Tareirí's Paulino Egun got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
