The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Wilfredo Federigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquilino Karmel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvio Luzaide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Luken in the 5th minute of play. With a little luck, Aberastain's Silvio Luzaide got control of the ball when Silverio Luken tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silvio Luzaide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Niguel in the 15th minute of play. Aquilino Karmel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Arias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baldomero Lehen charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomero Lehen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Aberastain booed when Cangrejilla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Lehen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Arias in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aquilino Karmel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silverio Luken got free with Silvio Luzaide in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 31 played minutes Cangrejilla FC got a freekick which was hit by Candido Lore. Wilfredo Federigo might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aquilino Karmel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilfredo Federigo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 35th minute, Celedonio Ederono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 38 played minutes, Aberastain's Santo Eleazar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aquilino Karmel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aberastain reached it. Cangrejilla FC's Aquilino Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Federigo in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 played minutes Cangrejilla FC got a freekick which was hit by Luis Jobo. In the 44th minute, Wilfredo Federigo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cangrejilla FC's Aquilino Karmel didn't even have to move. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Niguel to make the kick off. Armando Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Aquilino Karmel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Armando Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aberastain's Armando Arias got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cangrejilla FC's goalkeeper Aquilino Karmel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Aberastain's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Niguel came free, but Silvio Luzaide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Silverio Luken made a precise shot to the right of Silvio Luzaide. Aberastain's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Aberastain's Silvio Luzaide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Niguel in the 74th minute of play. Wilfredo Federigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Karmel having to interfere. Aquilino Karmel made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Armando Arias sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Cangrejilla FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Silverio Luken hit a great ball. Baldomero Lehen was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Aquilino Karmel made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Wilfredo Federigo sent off a good shot on target. 89 minutes into the game, Aberastain's Ramon Hodei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aquilino Karmel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 93rd minute Wilfredo Federigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquilino Karmel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Aberastain players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cangrejilla FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
