With an all-out effort, Palermo AFC's Ruben Bieito threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nicolas Toro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 15 minutes into the game, Juancho FC's Paolo Loi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anibal Emmanuel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Paolo Loi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anibal Emmanuel was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 41st minute Vicente Berto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Emmanuel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Paolo Loi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anibal Emmanuel was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Nicolas Toro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palermo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Toro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Bieito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot by Octavio Martxel from long distance, 75 minutes into the match, got Anibal Emmanuel's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 89th match minute, Juancho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Lastur to maneuver through the defense. When Palermo AFC's Nicolas Toro in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
