An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Pero in the 42nd minute of play forced Midlothian FC's goalkeeper Federico Galsino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Federico Galsino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Pero, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Lino Pero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Maximo Cerilo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 75 minutes of play, Midlothian FC's Feliberto Deunoro made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximo Cerilo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maximo Cerilo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Deunoro in the 78th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Osvaldo Laurendi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Midlothian FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Laurendi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximo Cerilo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Feliberto Deunoro fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Midlothian FC's protests and gave Feliberto Deunoro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th minute Horacio Gil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Galsino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Midlothian FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Merayo's performance. The match ended with a win for Merayo.
