Cortaderas's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernabe Atarrabi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raul Ariando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raul Ariando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Palos, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raul Beti to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Palos in the 60th minute of play forced Espigas's goalkeeper Raul Ariando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusebio Loren's late challenge caught a Espigas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusebio Loren helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cortaderas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernabe Atarrabi got free with Raul Ariando in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cortaderas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
