Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luis Breogan started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Club Atletico River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Herminio Gaskon. 4 minutes into the game, Baldomero Chan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Fabio Lapurdi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Afonso in the 9th minute of play forced Club Atletico River Plate's goalkeeper Fabio Lapurdi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Virgilio Artaldo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alberdi the free kick. Virgilio Artaldo hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Baldomero Chan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabio Lapurdi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 14 minutes of play, Alberdi's Cipriano Afonso made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabio Lapurdi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Baldomero Chan succeeded in the game's 18th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Fabio Lapurdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Chan in the 25th minute of play. Fabio Lapurdi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cipriano Afonso went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Cipriano Afonso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Madeo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Club Atletico River Plate's Fabio Lapurdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Chan in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Baldomero Chan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabio Lapurdi. Club Atletico River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldomero Chan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Baldomero Chan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Fabio Lapurdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Chan came free, but Fabio Lapurdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cipriano Afonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Lapurdi having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baldomero Chan to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Alberdi got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Evis. 57 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's Herminio Gaskon broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 66th match minute, Club Atletico River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Artaldo to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Alberdi's Baldomero Chan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabio Lapurdi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cipriano Afonso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Lapurdi having to make a save. Fabio Lapurdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Chan in the 77th minute of the match. Fabio Lapurdi was a little too slow when Baldomero Chan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-7. 82 minutes into the match, Alberdi's Baldomero Chan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabio Lapurdi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Cipriano Afonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Fabio Lapurdi managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Alberdi's Cipriano Afonso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Club Atletico River Plate's Fabio Lapurdi got control of the ball when Aristides Santikurtz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cipriano Afonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
