With his leg Jonathan Gartzea managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Iglesia FC's Feliberto Hondo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 9 minutes into the match, Papin's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Dominix came free, but Jonathan Gartzea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Francisco Efraim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nereo Llope was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Braulio Cefero kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. If Francisco Efraim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clemente Matai in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nereo Llope saved Iglesia FC from getting behind. Nemesio Dominix struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Jonathan Gartzea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iglesia FC. Clemente Matai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Iglesia FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Freddy Peli hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Iglesia FC's zone, Francisco Efraim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Llope came out of the goal and Francisco Efraim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Gartzea was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Freddy Peli capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Freddy Peli really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Feliberto Hondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Gartzea having to interfere. Clemente Matai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Iglesia FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Freddy Peli hit a great ball. In the 39th minute Clemente Matai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Llope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 minutes, Freddy Peli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iglesia FC and the Papin players grew even worse after the yellow card. Freddy Peli hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clemente Matai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Freddy Peli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Gartzea having to interfere. Matias Bartolome hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Jairo Bittor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Gartzea having to interfere. After having played for 63 minutes, Francisco Efraim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Papin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Efraim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Papin's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Hondo came free, but Jonathan Gartzea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feliberto Hondo struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Jonathan Gartzea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iglesia FC. Nemesio Dominix took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Gartzea. Jonathan Gartzea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 70th match minute, Iglesia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Hondo to maneuver through the defense. Clemente Matai struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Nereo Llope didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papin. After 73 minutes of play, Papin's Clemente Matai made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nereo Llope was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Francisco Efraim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Papin's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Hondo came free, but Jonathan Gartzea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Feliberto Hondo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Gartzea was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Bartolome in the 95th minute of play forced Iglesia FC's goalkeeper Nereo Llope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th match minute, Papin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobaldo Tabor to maneuver through the defense.
