Nemesio Horados short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Cristobal Claris to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 14th minute, Felix Artaldo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Menucos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Cristobal Claris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabricio Astudillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Flor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Artaldo in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Artaldo in the 25th minute of play forced Cañete AFC's goalkeeper Victor Flor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristobal Claris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Astudillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Fabricio Astudillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabricio Astudillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Cristobal Claris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabricio Astudillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristobal Claris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Menucos's goalkeeper Cristobal Claris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nemesio Horado. After 42 played minutes Menucos got a freekick which was hit by Albano Eate. Menucos's Cristobal Claris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Menucos from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 56 minutes, Wilfredo Osmundo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cañete AFC and the Menucos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wilfredo Osmundo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Victor Flor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Artaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Sergio Maule might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Flor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sergio Maule ran back to his position shaking his head. 65 minutes into the match, Menucos's goal looked a bit too open when Fabricio Astudillo came free, but Cristobal Claris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Menucos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ceferino Marques was slow to take the kick. During this time Cañete AFC's players had a chance to rest. After 73 minutes Cañete AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Clodoveo Arano who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Menucos's corner Clodoveo Arano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Victor Flor quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Astudillo in the 74th minute of play forced Menucos's goalkeeper Cristobal Claris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute Nemesio Horado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Claris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pascual Hitz fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cañete AFC's protests and gave Pascual Hitz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Menucos booed when Cañete AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Hitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nemesio Horado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Menucos's goal looked a bit too open when Fabricio Astudillo came free, but Cristobal Claris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Artaldo struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Victor Flor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Menucos. Fabricio Astudillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
