Escoya FC's Igor Sabin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Escoya FC from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 10 in the game by Tomas Abeijon from a close distance when the talented Igor Sabin managed to make a qualified save. Escoya FC's players were relieved. After having played for 14 minutes, Rolando Playo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escoya FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Playo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Leales getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Gervasio Gines hit a great ball. Rafael Seber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Gervasio Gines could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Igor Sabin however easily saved by the left post. Gervasio Gines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Sabin having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Escoya FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Seber came free, but Igor Sabin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of Escoya FC booed when Leales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Palos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute of the match, Gilberto Vellito got a very nice opportunity to score, but Venancio Onbera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
