The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Esteve Sagrario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Ofelio having to interfere. Esteve Sagrario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Dionisio Ofelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21stth minute of the game Epifanio Baladi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monsalvo FC's Dionisio Ofelio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, Leonardo Ireno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Gilabert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celedonio Ursino in the 33rd minute of the match. Celedonio Ursino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Gilabert having to interfere. Candido Hermon's late challenge caught a Marengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Candido Hermon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th minute, Candido Hermon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute Epifanio Baladi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Ofelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Marengo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Monsalvo FC were winning 0-3.

Marengo:s Benjamin Gilabert showed great skill when he stopped Delmar Liberto:s penalty. Rene Dominguez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Gilabert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Epifanio Baladi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Dionisio Ofelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dionisio Ofelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Epifanio Baladi, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Esteve Sagrario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Monsalvo FC's zone, Esteve Sagrario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dionisio Ofelio came out of the goal and Esteve Sagrario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute, Celedonio Ursino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monsalvo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Epifanio Baladi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dionisio Ofelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epifanio Baladi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliseo Meder hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Dionisio Ofelio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esteve Sagrario's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Dionisio Ofelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Baladi in the 97th minute of play. The Marengo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Monsalvo FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Monsalvo FC.
