Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel Jaunti charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Jaunti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, Hualfín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Jaunti to maneuver through the defense. Hualfín's David Herauso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Lizer in the 12th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Catamarca got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Baraquiel. After a rather tough play, Catamarca's Aquiles Henrico got a free kick in the 22nd minute. With his leg Jonathan Sendoa managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Hualfín's Teodoro Rubio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Javier Atauri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Sendoa was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Catamarca's Jonathan Sendoa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Catamarca from getting a goal against them. 33 minutes into the match, Catamarca's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Atauri came free, but Jonathan Sendoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, Aquiles Henrico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catamarca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquiles Henrico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Catamarca's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Atauri came free, but Jonathan Sendoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Javier Atauri to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Atauri in the 53rd minute of play forced Catamarca's goalkeeper Jonathan Sendoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnoldo Soter during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arnoldo Soter hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 58 played minutes Catamarca got a freekick which was hit by Justino Cibran. Augusto Txomin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 59th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Justino Cibran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Herauso having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hualfín's Augusto Txomin got a free kick in the 71st minute. Venancio Lluterio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alejandro Lizer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Herauso having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudio Hori during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Claudio Hori hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Javier Atauri struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Jonathan Sendoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hualfín. The audience was convinced that Teodoro Rubio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Sendoa was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Jonathan Sendoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Atauri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Catamarca's zone, Javier Atauri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Sendoa came out of the goal and Javier Atauri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
