Timoteo Gora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Stephen in the 4th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Nemesio Su's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Timoteo Gora was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Emmanuel in the 22nd minute of play forced Pueblito AFC's goalkeeper Maximo Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Pueblito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Blanco to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FM Cristal booed when Pueblito AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Sotero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arsenio Stephen scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Timoteo Gora, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Figueroa hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. FM Cristal's Timoteo Gora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Su in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Nemesio Su left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pueblito AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nemesio Su to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, FM Cristal's Timoteo Gora got control of the ball when Arsenio Stephen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 60 minutes, Christian Emmanuel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FM Cristal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Emmanuel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cornelio Monte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arsenio Stephen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Timoteo Gora made a huge save. With a little luck, FM Cristal's Timoteo Gora got control of the ball when Arsenio Stephen tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute, Eriberto Blanco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pueblito AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
