Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Honorato Alonso was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anacleto Errando. After having played for 10 minutes, Nicolas Su managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Su was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Independiente's Gregorio Rius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Bidari in the 12th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Guandacol AFC got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Bidari. Guandacol AFC's Arturo Nuxila got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 21 minutes, Ivan Cloyo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independiente and the Guandacol AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Celestino Bidari blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gregorio Rius having to make a save. Gregorio Rius didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arturo Nuxila went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Independiente defense, Celestino Bidari kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gregorio Rius. The Independiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gregorio Rius should have stopped the shot. Arturo Nuxila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Rius having to interfere. After the first half Guandacol AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Prudencio Katia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arturo Nuxila struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Gregorio Rius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guandacol AFC. If Prudencio Katia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honorato Alonso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 79 minutes into the game, Fabricio Burutzagi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guandacol AFC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Independiente:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Guandacol AFC:s goal. Celestino Bidari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 87 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Angel Ekhi. Freddy Ignazio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Arturo Nuxila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Gregorio Rius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
