Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Gualeguay FC's Andres Iaki started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Gualeguay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Arlo came free, but Enrique Harri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Iaki in the 4th minute of play forced Corti FC's goalkeeper Ildefonso Thomas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Andres Iaki came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Gualeguay FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andres Iaki couldn't finish the play. Andres Iaki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Corti FC's Ildefonso Thomas got control of the ball when Christian Hanni tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Orlando Ganix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zacarias Herrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enrique Harri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Ganix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 played minutes Gualeguay FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Natal. Leonardo Onofre took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Enrique Harri. Gualeguay FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ildefonso Thomas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Iaki in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Iaki in the 32nd minute of play forced Corti FC's goalkeeper Ildefonso Thomas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andres Iaki in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ildefonso Thomas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Orlando Ganix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Ganix to make the kick off. Christian Hanni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orlando Ganix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Harri having to interfere. When Gualeguay FC's Andres Iaki in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corti FC's goalie prevented a goal. Enrique Harri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Ganix in the 79th minute of the match. Andres Iaki might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ildefonso Thomas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andres Iaki ran back to his position shaking his head. Enrique Harri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zacarias Herrera in the 86th minute. Orlando Ganix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Harri having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Denis Llorian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gualeguay FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Llorian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ildefonso Thomas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Corti FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Corti FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
