An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Gonza in the 7th minute of play forced Calderilla's goalkeeper Ermegildo Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abelardo Laurgain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Chan in the 10th minute of play. In the 12thth minute of the game Efrain Cibran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hoteleros Futbol Club's Abelardo Laurgain was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Calderilla were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Hoteleros Futbol Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Modesto Oriche took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Modesto Oriche got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Abelardo Laurgain quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Abelardo Laurgain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Cibran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Calderilla's Bernabe Chan in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hoteleros Futbol Club's goalie prevented a goal. Gregorio Gonza's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ermegildo Lopez firmly grabbed it by the left post. Celso Tristan hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Justo Seber kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Pascual Joachim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ermegildo Lopez was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pascual Joachim to make the kick off. In the 60th match minute, Hoteleros Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Fernado to maneuver through the defense. Modesto Oriche took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abelardo Laurgain. Hoteleros Futbol Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Calderilla's Bernabe Chan in 62 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Abelardo Laurgain guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Efrain Cibran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Abelardo Laurgain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernabe Chan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abelardo Laurgain came out and tried to block the shot, but Bernabe Chan slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 65th minute. Eugenio Cai hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Augusto Galindo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Efrain Cibran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efrain Cibran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abelardo Laurgain read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. When Efrain Cibran, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 85 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Abelardo Laurgain was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Bruno Fernado hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Efrain Cibran received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abelardo Laurgain came out and tried to block the shot, but Efrain Cibran slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 89th minute. If Gregorio Gonza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Calderilla supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Calderilla would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
