Apolo Giraldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Berenguer, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 20th minute Celedonio Berenguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Giraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Toco y Me voy's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Oriche came free, but Carolo Mederi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Honorato Nesor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Giraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apolo Giraldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Nesor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Estanquito players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Toco y Me voy were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Modesto Oriche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Estanquito's Justo Dabi got a free kick in the 54th minute. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Celedonio Berenguer put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Apolo Giraldo. When Modesto Oriche came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Estanquito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Modesto Oriche couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the match, Estanquito's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Berenguer came free, but Apolo Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Honorato Nesor got free with Apolo Giraldo in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Feliberto Herauso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Apolo Giraldo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Angel Ignatius hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 93rd match minute, Estanquito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Artal to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Benito Egoitz from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Apolo Giraldo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Celedonio Berenguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Apolo Giraldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
