When Lorenzo Leocadio came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Saladillo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenzo Leocadio couldn't finish the play. In the 7th minute of the match, Jorge Beliran tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonatan Ubarna saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jorge Beliran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eleuterio Caton hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Lorenzo Leocadio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Ubarna having to interfere. Jonatan Ubarna made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Lorenzo Leocadio sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute, Kougars College's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lorenzo Leocadio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonatan Ubarna showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Saladillo AFC got a corner. Kougars College's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dante Ralondo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jonatan Ubarna made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Lorenzo Leocadio sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 40 in the game by Lorenzo Leocadio from a close distance when the talented Jonatan Ubarna managed to make a qualified save. Kougars College's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Kougars College's zone, Jorge Beliran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonatan Ubarna came out of the goal and Jorge Beliran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benicio Acevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antonio Ursino went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Beliran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guillermo Sasoin scored 0-2 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benicio Acevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guillermo Sasoin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Benicio Acevedo made a huge save. Octavio Marin kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Kougars College's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saladillo AFC the free kick. In the 87th minute, Matias Frutos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonatan Ubarna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Leocadio in the 92nd minute of the match. Lorenzo Leocadio took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonatan Ubarna. Jonatan Ubarna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.
