After a defensive mix-up in Florida FC's zone, Lorenzo Leocadio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Karlo came out of the goal and Lorenzo Leocadio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucas Karlo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Beliran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benicio Acevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godofredo Kepa, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Saladillo AFC's Lorenzo Leocadio got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Godofredo Kepa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benicio Acevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Tabor in the 81st minute of play forced Saladillo AFC's goalkeeper Benicio Acevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Florida FC's Lucas Karlo got control of the ball when Lorenzo Leocadio tried to sneak it across the goal line.
