The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2ndth minute of the game Virgilio Distiratsu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shan Shando Futbol Club's Zeledon Javiar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Camilo Atauri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ciriaco Nikola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesar Luken in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Javiar saved Shan Shando Futbol Club from getting behind. Shan Shando Futbol Club's Zeledon Javiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Luken in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Eusebio Edur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Javiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shan Shando Futbol Club's Zeledon Javiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Distiratsu in the 23rd minute of play. Zeledon Javiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Distiratsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeledon Javiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Distiratsu in the 28th minute of play. Shan Shando Futbol Club's Zeledon Javiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Distiratsu in the 33rd minute of play. Florencia FC were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Shan Shando Futbol Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Clemente Alvarez took the corner. Clemente Alvarez made a great header on Florencia FC's corner, it was just that Shan Shando Futbol Club's Zeledon Javiar managed to reach the ball for a save. If Virgilio Distiratsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Virgilio Distiratsu put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Zeledon Javiar. After 45 minutes, Jorge Gai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shan Shando Futbol Club and the Florencia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jorge Gai kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. 49 minutes into the game, Hermengildo Isusko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Florencia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shan Shando Futbol Club the free kick. In the 49th minute, Hermengildo Isusko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Florencia FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Virgilio Distiratsu was the one to do the kick off. Zeledon Javiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Distiratsu in the 55th minute of the match. Zeledon Javiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Distiratsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Zeledon Javiar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cesar Luken went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Virgilio Distiratsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Zeledon Javiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute Camilo Atauri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Nikola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgilio Distiratsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Javiar having to interfere. If Virgilio Distiratsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rdth minute of the game Virgilio Distiratsu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shan Shando Futbol Club's Zeledon Javiar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Gai in the 86th minute of play forced Florencia FC's goalkeeper Ciriaco Nikola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Virgilio Distiratsu came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Florencia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgilio Distiratsu couldn't finish the play. Virgilio Distiratsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Zeledon Javiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florencia FC played a much better game than Shan Shando Futbol Club and deserved their victory. The Shan Shando Futbol Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
