The audience was convinced that Benito Fidensio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernesto Efren was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Braulio Ibañez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Ernesto Efren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benito Fidensio's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. 60 minutes into the match, El gallo's goal looked a bit too open when Cosme Dubardo came free, but Braulio Ibañez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Efren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Nikola, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Paolo Indartsu in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Braulio Ibañez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind El gallo's goalkeeper Braulio Ibañez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fernando Oriche was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 89 minutes into the match. Fernando Eladio shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The El gallo fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when El gallo's Fernando Eladio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Paolo Indartsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paolo Indartsu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Braulio Ibañez made a huge save.
