In the 19th minute, Virgilio Pio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Bento was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Quilaquina AFC's Osvaldo Tibalt got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quilaquina AFC's goalkeeper Rene Nuxila, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Bento made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Virgilio Pio sent off a good shot on target. Nemesio Etxahun hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Quilaquina AFC's Rene Nuxila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Azibar in the 31st minute of play. Cayastá FC's Anselmo Kaxen got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cosme Hondo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Anselmo Kaxen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Rene Nuxila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quilaquina AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximo Azibar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Anselmo Kaxen made the kick off in the second half. Cristian Bento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosme Hondo in the 51st minute of the match. Rene Nuxila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Kaxen in the 88th minute of play. After 89 played minutes Quilaquina AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cosme Hondo. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Kaxen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rene Nuxila was relentless in the 90th minute of the game.
