Santo Castulo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Felo in the 41st minute of play. Alfredo Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Santo Castulo made a huge save. In the 44th minute Amancio Bortzaioriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Vidal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juanis Club's Gabriel Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amancio Bortzaioriz in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Sunchal were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Anibal Felo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Felo in the 56th minute of play forced Sunchal's goalkeeper Santo Castulo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Bortzaioriz in the 58th minute of play forced Juanis Club's goalkeeper Gabriel Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Anibal Felo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santos Sasoin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Vidal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Ubaldo Goi hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Sunchal's Santo Castulo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Romero in the 68th minute of play. When Santos Sasoin came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Sunchal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santos Sasoin couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Sunchal's goalkeeper Santo Castulo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sunchal's Santos Sasoin got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Sunchal's Amancio Bortzaioriz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Vidal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Juanis Club's Gabriel Vidal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Juanis Club from getting a goal against them. Gabriel Vidal made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Santos Sasoin sent off a good shot on target. If Amancio Bortzaioriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Sunchal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sunchal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
