Domingos Nazario might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esteve Christobal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domingos Nazario ran back to his position shaking his head. Domingos Nazario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esteve Christobal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Telén's zone, Anastasio Arotza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Christobal came out of the goal and Anastasio Arotza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Clausurada FC's Anastasio Arotza in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvano Gimenez to make the kick off. Telén's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Panpili was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Santo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
