The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Elortondo's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Criston was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Ibon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Roberto Ibon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Zlatni Ratnici getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gregorio Frutos hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Zlatni Ratnici's zone, Julio Criston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Ibon came out of the goal and Julio Criston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Julio Criston took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Roberto Ibon to make any attempt to save it. Zlatni Ratnici's Roberto Ibon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Zlatni Ratnici from getting a goal against them. The attack was good, but when Baldomiro Sendoa in the 31st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Eusebio Guzman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Sendoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th match minute, Elortondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Hartz to maneuver through the defense. If Baldomiro Sendoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute Baldomiro Sendoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebio Guzman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Baldomiro Sendoa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julio Criston to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Zlatni Ratnici's Victorino Maldonado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 54th match minute, Zlatni Ratnici was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorio Frutos to maneuver through the defense. Roberto Ibon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Herensuge in the 56th minute of the match. Marco Sadurni kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Zlatni Ratnici's Astor Ebardo got a free kick in the 69th minute. Julio Criston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Roberto Ibon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Herensuge in the 73rd minute of play forced Zlatni Ratnici's goalkeeper Roberto Ibon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Ibon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Criston in the 78th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dalmacio Domingues during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Zlatni Ratnici's Dalmacio Domingues got a free kick in the 79th minute. Baldomiro Sendoa kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Zlatni Ratnici defense, Julio Criston kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto Ibon. The Zlatni Ratnici fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Ibon should have stopped the shot. Teodoro Solustiano hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Elortondo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
