With a little luck, Pastizales FC's Hernan Jatsu got control of the ball when Nemesio Rozarius tried to sneak it across the goal line. One of Pastizales FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tambillos:s goal. In the 41st minute of the game, Tambillos got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. A collision led to Tambillos getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Saul Calvet hit a great ball. Leonides Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Jatsu having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tambillos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gustavo Gregory was slow to take the kick. During this time Pastizales FC's players had a chance to rest. Leonides Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Hernan Jatsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonides Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Jatsu having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pastizales FC's zone, Nemesio Rozarius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Jatsu came out of the goal and Nemesio Rozarius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonides Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Jatsu having to interfere. Tambillos's Nemesio Rozarius got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonides Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Hernan Jatsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hernan Jatsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Pinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonides Pinto in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernan Jatsu saved Pastizales FC from getting behind. Nemesio Rozarius blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hernan Jatsu having to make a save. Leonides Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Hernan Jatsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonides Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tambillos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pastizales FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
